Event Overview

Treat yourself to something sweet while doing great things for others!

One of our Little Dabblers, Sophia, was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor in January 2015. She is in treatment and is doing fairly well but this journey has opened our eyes to the dire need for more compassionate and effective treatment options. Together, we can effect change and bring hope to these children and their families.

May is brain tumor awareness month. Every 3 minutes, a new child is diagnosed with cancer. The statistics for the children with a brain tumor are grim. The survival rate is only 50%. One out of every 2 kids diagnosed will not survive. Pediatric cancer research is woefully underfunded and these children are most commonly treated with antiquated drugs, formulated for adults. But, we can turn this tide by funding great, child-specific research!

Throughout the month of May, stop into M Burger (3654 W. Touhy Ave.) to indulge in their featured Sophia shake, Chocolate Banana Cookie Crunch. For every shake purchased this month, M Burger is donating $2 to the St. Baldricks Foundation for pediatric cancer research. That is nearly 50% of the purchase price - what a sweet deal!

Note: Events listed here are for Saturdays, but stop by M Burger Skokie anytime in May to enjoy Sophia's special shake, and you do not need to register. Thank you for helping a Little Dabbler in need!
