Event Overview

#, @, RT, LOL....what the hashtag?! Twitter is an extremely powerful tool, but also a very confusing one. Learn the basics of Twitter including the lingo, the platform, the process and the tools. You will leave the class with an active Twitter account and an understanding of how to use Twitter to listen and engage with others – I'll even show you some fun people to follow (hint, @stevemartintogo...). This class is for beginners and/or non-users. Leave judgement at the door as there will be none in this session!

If you have a Twitter account, please come with your user name and password so you can access your account during the class. If you don't have a Twitter account, please set one up at Twitter.com prior to attending. Please bring a laptop and smart phone if you have one. 1 laptop will be available for use and can be shared, but it's better to learn on your own device.

MORE ABOUT YOUR HOST

In a nutshell, Rachel landed her first social media job because of Twitter, and she still considers it one of her best information resources and networking tool. She has been using the platform both personally and professionally since 2009. She has also trained many others on how to use the platform from individuals to entire companies, and is frequently asked to speak on the subject at conferences and events. Rachel has a passion for teaching, and getting people to love Twitter just as much as she does.
