Event Overview

Is there anything more BAD than axe throwing?! Sharpen your hand-eye coordination, impress your friends, and leave feeling like a BAD ASS! If you're looking for something different to do, or are new to the area, try Bad Axe Throwing. It’s a great place to take a date, a group of rowdy friends or a company for team building. There are plenty of competitive games to play and an incredible amount of fun to be had.

This is a walk-in experience covering axe throwing basics. A Bad Axe Throwing pro will available for support and guidance but will not be dedicated to the class - still everyone is guaranteed to have a great time. Your start time may not be exact if other throwers are in the lanes and in the event, the walk-ins are booked we'll work to get you in or offer a refund.

Have a group of 8+ interested? We can dedicate a Bad Axe pro and classes are usually around 2 hours and you will be nailing your throw in no time! Bad Axe Throwing is the biggest and highest rated axe throwing club in the world.

Bad Axe Throwing Lakeview is our newest Chicago location. Our incredible staff will teach you the basics and help you hone your axe throwing skills.

Bad Axe Throwing is proud to be a part of the communities where we are located. We have participated in numerous fundraising events, getting involved in local charities and providing donations to worldwide leadership and support organizations such as United Way, Ottawa Food Bank, Ottawa Snowsuit Fund and Toy Mountain.

what a great experience! when i arrived, there was a little confusion regarding me booking through dabble but the girl working was very friendly and helpful. she got things squared away, and showed me the techniques for throwing, then i was set to keep going on my own. and what a fun workout!!

I didn’t really have an experience. It wasn’t clear that there wasn’t going to be a teacher, so when I got there I wasted a ton of time trying to figure out what was going on. No one working there had even heard of dabble. They did let me join another group for a bit, but it was really awkward since they all knew each other and are in a league together. No one really showed me how to throw the axe either. It was a waste of money and I left.

When my friend and I arrived at Bad Axe Throwing we were expecting there to be A LOT more instruction. We were just handed axes and told to throw in one of the cages.... Only problem was the cages were all full with axe league members that already knew each other and had a system in place. We made our way around to the opposite side of cages where there were less people and joined in with a smaller group of women. The women were extremely nice and welcoming and let us know that they heard about the league after coming to Bad Axe for birthday party. No one seemed to know what Dabble was, or how we found out about the place outside of having come for an event. We then proceeded to throw axes to the best of our abilities. The women were nice enough to show us how to throw and how to keep score. I asked one of the actual employees for a bit of help, but he was helping a party so couldn't spend much time showing me how to throw. There was zero order or instruction, which I found concerning considering we were throwing axes in the air. Luckily the hour ended well and I got 2 bullseyes! I would only recommend this Dabble experience to people who aren't shy and are okay with little to no instruction.
