Event Overview
Don't just read articles about cool applications of 3D printing, come up with your own!
In this class, we'll discuss the history of 3D printing, current applications of the technology, and teach the basics of 3D design and modeling. Each student will create a unique 3D model of a creature and watch as their creation comes to life in our MakerBot Replicator 2 3D printers!
We recommend you set up a profile on TinkerCAD and play around with a few tutorials before coming to class. We'll be teaching on this free, browser-based 3D modeling platform. http://tinkercad.com
You'll leave class with something that you've designed and printed, to impress all your friends with!

Ally Brisbin is co-owner of Edgewater Workbench, a digital fabrication center and community workshop on the north side of Chicago. Ally and her partner Stuart have been been open for business since July 2014, but have years of experience with 3D design and printing.
Their shop focuses on educating the masses on the unlimited possibilities that the Maker Movement offers.

Class didn't really exist. Was there early as requested and no one was there. Because it was cancelled, I had to reschedule but I'm not sure which really existm so I'm hoping I can take this later
