Event Overview
Whether you dream of performing on stage in front of thousands or prefer the comfortable confines of your shower stall, one thing is certain: you love to sing. C'mon, you know it's true. Don't be ashamed - its part of who we are, and that's a wonderful thing! From Bocelli to Beyonce, Streisand to Sinatra, all great singers employ specific techniques to achieve their signature sound.
This hands-on class will shed light how the singing voice works and walk students through specific exercises that will help them find "their voice". Receiving small-group and one-on-one instruction, students will walk away knowing how their singing voice works and understanding the feeling and sensation of free, easy, beautiful singing. This is the perfect class for vocalists of all ages and ability levels!

MORE ABOUT YOUR HOST
A self-described "music nut", Chris has been involved in music for many years. From the time he picked up a trumpet in 6th grade until now, Chris has performed in countless ensembles, including jazz bands, marching bands, concert choirs, chamber choirs, a cappella groups, and many more. Chris attended college at Truman State University in Kirksville, MO, earning his B.A. in Vocal Music and M.A. in Choral Conducting. During his time at Truman, Chris received private instruction in voice, conducting, composition and audio production. Chris performed in many ensembles and served as director for the Chamber Choir for two years. He also participated in True Men, Truman State’s premiere all-male a cappella ensemble, and held positions of Choral Director, Business Manager, and President.
Since graduating, Chris has taught in schools and opened his own music studio, where he teaches nearly 20 students per week. Chris also co-founded A Cappella Connection, an organization that provides young singers with opportunities in a cappella music outside of school. The A Cappella Connection Summer Camp in August of 2014 featured 26 students from around the St. Louis area participating in a week-long all-encompassing aca-environment. Chris is excited to share his passion for music with his Dabble students!
