Event Overview

The First Steps course is designed to teach parents about the early signs of neurological and nutritional disorders the moment after birth. 1 in 68 children in the United States develop Autism. By taking the necessary steps before conception, during pregnancy, and onto the child’s First Steps, we hope to provide parents with an innate, conscious, and holistic outlook into the early detection and prevention of neurologic developmental disabilities. This course not only seeks to review potential risk factors of these disorders, but also to provide parents with key tools to assess their child’s neurologic health within minutes following birth. Parents engaged in the First Steps course will learn how to track developmental milestones, detect early signs of neurological distress, find products that are safe for newborns and infants, as well as optimize the function of their own neurologic health.

MORE ABOUT YOUR HOST

Dr. Kenzie Henk has been on a journey to live a more holistic lifestyle for many years. Through her training in Chiropractic, she has learned that health comes from within. She is now on a mission to introduce Chiropractic Care and Holistic Living into the community.

It wasn't until the birth of her son, that Dr. Henk discovered where her Chiropractic career would take her. She became empowered to educate women about how female bodies were created to endure birth and house another living being.

"Serving other women in the hopes that they too would have a spiritual and connected birth is what drives me each and every day."

It has become a passion of hers to educate families about the natural birth process and the innate wisdom of the human body. By inspiring women to become conscious of the health decisions that they make, Dr. Henk hopes to reshape the future of family wellness.

"Working with moms and their children offers one of life's most rewarding feelings. To see their connections between each other deepen as their health and wellness continue to flourish is the most exciting part of this profession!"

Dr. Henk graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic. She is actively pursuing her board certification in pediatric chiropractic neurology from the International Chiropractic Pediatrics Association. She is always working to increase her knowledge of Holistic Healthcare and broaden her perspective in field of family education. Dr. Henk is a Leader of the St. Louis County Chapter of the Holistic Moms Network, which provides a community to mothers and families interested in learning more about living a holsitic lifestyle.
