Event Overview

Everybody likes cobbler. That said, not everybody can make it right. Want to learn with the experts? Where to start? Well, if you are a well-seasoned cobbler maker or missed learning this time-honored skill when you were young, you will find some hints here. Great cobbler is waiting for you at Peacemaker and Sidney Street Cafe but why not learn how to make your own and impress your friends and family.

Grab an early dinner at Peacemaker then head across the street to Sidney Street for some delicious Carmel Apple Cobbler!

Chef Bob Zugmaier of Sidney Street Cafe & Peacemaker would love to help you uncover the mysteries of baking delicious cobbler. In this hands-on 2-hour class demonstration you'll taste cobbler (obviously!), learn the secrets of great cobbler making, crust rolling and crimping.

Included with this a FREE ticket to Perennial's Lost and F(o)und Event on November 7. Details here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1667217413497263/

Sidney Street Cafe is located in a century-old storefront building in St. Louis’s historic Benton Park neighborhood. Run by Chef/Owner Kevin Nashan along with his wife Mina and his brother Chris, the restaurant is proud to be a neighborhood staple while also serving as a special destination for diners from all over the world. The New American cuisine is inspired by a melting pot of influences including Kevin’s Spanish heritage, the New Mexican flavors of his childhood in Santa Fe, his love for Midwest and Southern ingredients, and his classic French training. The casually elegant dining room is highlighted by exposed brick walls, rich hardwood floors, and an antique bar where guests can enjoy cocktails, wine, and the restaurant’s complete dining experience.

I had an absolute blast at the cobbler making course! I was worried at first because my girlfriends weren't able to join me at the class. But all of the attendees and the Dabble representative were very friendly and I was greeted with wine! Bob was a great teacher, who gave us lots of chef pro-tips during the class. He explained every step of the cobbler making process and sent us home with the recipe and a HUGE to go container of HOT cobbler. It was seriously the best I've tasted in my life (sorry Grandma.)
I would recommend this class or any other! Can't wait to take another soon.

Fun and informative class with a double bonus of a very yummy cobbler.

Hopefully, there will be another class to teach us how to make the delicious carrot + passion fruit sorbet we sampled ;)

The class was quite enjoyable. Bob was very flexible and open to all types of cooking questions in addition to demonstrating the cobbler recipe. The small class size made it easy to get to know each other.
