Event Overview

In this course, Dabblers will learn how to design and typeset stationery on Adobe Illustrator and how to print stationery at home.

Our lovely teacher, Ashling, will share all her lessons learned after countless misprints, reprints, and Illustrator trouble shooting! She will also cover how to source paper, envelopes, and fonts to make your next birthday party invitation or holiday card a breeze!

+ At the end of the course, you will have printed a set of stationery for yourself (or a loved one)
+ You will learn the basics of Adobe Illustrator
+ You will have learned to source great, cost-effective fonts
+ You will have learned how to source great, cost-effective paper

Ashling is a paper-phile, and has been from a very young age. Currently, she’s the lead of the Identity team at Palantir Technologies, a Palo Alto-based startup that provides a robust data analysis platforms to enterprises worldwide. At night, she keeps her passion for paper alive with LOTUS&ASH, a stationery business that has grown out of her college dorm room to provide design, web development, and identity support to for start ups and brides alike. She believes in no-computer-Saturdays, and makes the most of them with hiking in Muir Woods, cycling to Tiburon, and day tripping to Napa.
