Event Overview
Hip Hop for Kids at Spark Arts is a safe space for Bay Area youth to express their talents in the arts by using creative movement in dance, team building, collaboration and positive interaction amongst their peers. Using education in the form of hip hop dance, the class’ short term goals are to introduce city youth to different styles of dance and to expose them to the positive effects hip hop culture has on their communities today. The program gives children of any age, sex, and race, the opportunity to explore and practice different art forms while cultivating long term skills such as leadership, self-discipline, creativity and self expression.
