Event Overview
More than 30 new fine chocolate brands have started in the United States alone over the last six years. Chocolate is quickly becoming the next fine food; but, what makes one chocolate bar ‘fine’ and another just ‘standard’?
This will be an hour-long introduction to fine chocolate where I'll describe the differences between industrial and fine chocolate, walk through what influences flavor, and, of course, provide some great chocolate to taste. People interested in learning more about tasting chocolate and the growing craft movement should attend this class. We will not cover how to actually make chocolate. This class will focus exclusively on chocolate bars.
