Event Overview

Don't iPhone animations look slick? Are you wondering how to make to your app feel more alive?

In this class you will learn about the animation methods of UIKit and CoreAnimation. We will discuss how to make an Application feel alive through animations that react to the user.

- Create animated content that flies, bounces, and scales as your App's views come onto screen
- Don't get lost with frame calculations. Keeping your code simple and organized.
- Best Practices of when to animate.
- Learn to Love [UIView animateWithDuration:]
- Intro to Objective-C blocks
- Basic 3D transforms
- CALayer transforms
- Learn about some great open source projects that have advanced animations (blurs, modal boxes, etc)

- BONUS: Intro to using the Core Animation Particle Emitter to create shooting stars and fireworks that don't slow down your App.

At the end of this course you will feel comfortable adding 0.2 second animations on every button and view you can think of. You will be able to make quick scale and transform animations that make you app feel alive and responsive.

Prerequisites

- Intermediate Objective-C Experience: We won't be wasting time learning about syntax or how an iPhone app is created.
