Event Overview

Learn the basics of a wood working shop. We will be making red oak and birch cutting boards (11 3/14 x 18 x 1 1/4 and yes, you get to keep it!).

Learn how to safely use a tape measure, clamps, table saw, miter saw, planer, router and random orbit sanders, vibrating sanders, and a table top belt sander. Also learn about different species of wood and what uses would be best per species. Because we are experienced and professional woodworkers, questions will be welcome.

Class 1: Safety and Cutting.
Class 2: Planing and Sanding.
Class 3: Routing and Finish.

Feel free to bring BYOB for AFTER class.

What to Bring

Fingerless gloves, safety glasses and ear plugs if you'd like.
