Event Overview

Ever wanted to get clarification on a topic that's been on your mind? Tarot reading is a great and fun way to clarify your thoughts and feelings around nearly any topic!

In the Intro to Tarot Reading: The Major Arcana cards, students will receive an overview of tarot readings that helps them establish some context around the cards. We will then work through the major Arcana cards (22 of the 78 cards in a tarot deck). The Major Arcana are the most exciting and intriguing cards because they are usually quite direct. Examples of these cards include the Fool, the Magician, the Chariot, the Tower, The Wheel of Fortune, and so forth.

Students will come out of this class with a better understanding of the Major Arcana, and how to look for clues and interpretation in tarot readings for themselves and others.

What to Bring

Students should bring their own tarot deck and any materials best for note-taking. New tarot decks will be available for purchase at the time of class ($20-cash), but students are encouraged to message Catherine so that enough decks are available.

Minimum age

All ages welcome

What's Provided

Each student will receive one copy of my Major Arcana Cheat Sheet, which contains tips on how to best interpret the Arcana cards in a reading.

MORE ABOUT YOUR HOST

Catherine has a day job that helps meet her professional goals of researching and analyzing data about humans and human health. In her spare time, though, Catherine has been officially studying tarot for two years and has been helping friends understand their tarot readings for much longer. Catherine spent 3 years teaching on the Navajo and Apache Indian reservations throughout Arizona (and it should be clarified: during this time, she taught writing, not tarot), and loves helping others understand their own world and minds.
