Come an join us as we slice, dice, blanch and boil our way to two different delicious spiced jams. In the relaxed atmosphere of our teaching kitchen, you will gain confidence in making basic jams, eat your way through yummy samples, and then take two jars home with you to show off to your friends and family!

What You Can Expect From This Experience
- Learn how to preserve fruit while it is in season to enjoy through the winter.
- Learn to safely water bath can high acid foods (and what is a high acid food)
- Network with other people who are also interested in home preservation

MORE ABOUT YOUR HOST
We are local urban farmers in Lakewood, Colorado. Together we manage 1.5 acres of growing space including vegetables, flowers and raising chickens. We strive to be as self sufficient as possible and in our hunt for self sufficiency we pickle, ferment, freeze, dry and can as much of the harvest as possible. We love to share our skills with others, so please join us for a class!
