Event Overview

Turn a simple soap bar into the perfect shower scrubby and learn some felting basics.

Wet felting is one of the many ways to turn wool. The wool is wrapped and felted around the soap bar. The felt around the soap makes the soap last longer and creates a shower scrubby for wonderfully soft skin. Felted soap scrubbies are a perfect gift or a good way to recycle the small leftover pieces when a soap bar comes to its end.

This class is a hands on workshop where you will make 2 soap scrubbies with your own design.

MORE ABOUT YOUR HOST

As artist and programmer by day I started felting as an evening activity after a long day staring at the screen. Felting became an almost meditative activity to create and relax at the end of the day. As artist I am working with all kind of materials from fabrics to metals over digital media using traditional and digital fabrication methods, coding, simple electronics and recycled materials, as for felting this can stretch from bought fibers to my own cats fur.
