Event Overview

Limited to only 2 participants!

Learn how to screen print in this nonstop, hands-on workshop with artist and printmaker Gregory Santos. This 5-hour intensive covers the fundamentals of 2-color flat stock printing (not t-shirts!) using professional equipment dedicated for the process. Even though this is an introductory level workshop students will also learn and easily implement some advanced tips and tricks of this popular art medium. Only non-toxic water based inks will be used.

At the end of this workshop students will leave with up to 10 prints: 8 of the image they printed, 1 print from the other participant, and 1 copy of the demonstration print. This workshop will be taught at Art Gym where the instructor is the Director of Printmaking.

Participants will chose 1 image from a small selection of copyright-free illustrations that have already been output onto film. Each student will then expose 2 screens to print from; one screen per color. Images are roughly 7x9 inches and will be printed on paper 19x12.5 inches.
