Event Overview

There's a storyteller in all of us, though rarely do we ever get the opportunity to tell that story. Now, more than ever, gear has become affordable, stories have become streamlined, and people are getting out on the streets and producing their stories. This very well could be you!

This class will run for four hours, a hefty commitment, but will contain both a dedicated classroom and then practical section (cut directly in half). We'll discuss film history, film hierarchy, camera techniques, lighting, script writing, directing, the camera, and the basics behind pre and post-production. Everything you need to get started. Then, we'll go out and make a film in two hours using what you learned in class.

You'll only want to take this class if you have a passion for film or storytelling. Film is an industry that leaves those without their hearts in it behind. Also, teammwork/collaboration is an absolute necessity, film is meant to be fun and can't be done without a team!

After my class you will leave with a film under your belt, knowledge of how the industry works, and how to go about creating your own productions. I look forward to seeing you all in class!
