Event Overview

Where and what did you play when you were little Lincoln Logs, Legos, Blocks, Board Games? Chances are you were not plugged in and the activity was not adult directed. Outside was the best, alone with your friends to set up your own rules and played until the lights came on and dinner was ready.

Today's world is much different children and parents are on the go all the time. There is the electronics thing that can take a huge presence in our lives, as well as, our children's. Why Play? Research shows that children find out a lot by "Open Ended Play". Children and adults become the experts about what they know, use critical thinking skills and explore and try new things.

I recently was asked by a five year old as he stood looking at my self full of Creative Reusable Play Kits.

"What am I suppose to do with this stuff." I said, "You are like a scientist just Play around with it and you will find something out." His reply, "I have been a scientist my whole life"

I said "Nice to know about yourself."
