Upcycled Sweater Mittens

Arts & DIY
Transform your favorite worn sweater into a pair of wearable mittens! This class will cover the basics of using a sewing machine and working with a pattern to make a polished pair of fleece-lined cozy mittens. Participants are welcome to bring their own vintage sweaters to use for this project (this project requires 1 sweater), or they may pick from a variety provided by Perennial. You’ll also receive a pattern to make an optional matching hat from the same sweater, which you can complete outside of class.
Participants should have basic knowledge of how to use a sewing machine or have taken Perennial’s Sewing Machine Basics workshop.
Materials Saved from the Landfill:

Students may bring in their own sweaters, or choose from provided options.
