Event Overview

Whether you are looking to sew a garment from scratch or care for the items you already own, this class is perfect for you! You’ll learn how identify synthetic fabrics (like polyester) and natural fabrics (like wool, cotton and silk) and you’ll discuss the important differences in working with these different materials. Learn about important terminology like knits, woven, and blends and how these relate to sewing from a pattern. Then, the instructor will demonstrate how you should clean, care for, and repair these fabrics / garments to preserve their life. Feel free to bring in a few fabrics or garments that you want to discuss!
