Learn the basics of the vector-based Adobe Illustrator Program. Whether you are interested in making a logo, a brochure, or a screen-print design working with vectors is the easiest way to create scalable art. Beginners are welcome! This is an Intro-level class where we will cover the basic functions and abilities of Adobe Illustrator and we'll make sure to give you some tips and tricks for faster work flow.
Topics include:
- Creating Shapes and Outlines
- Rotating and duplicating objects
- Grouping and stacking
- Erasing and painting selected paths
- Using the Shape Builder tool
- Reflecting across an angled axis
- Simulating beveled edges
- Placing and flowing text
- Creating page margins
- Adjusting type size
- Inserting and removing anchor points
The class will be held with a group up to 10 students. We will be working off a Mac laptop hooked up to a projector. Students are encouraged to bring their own laptops so that they can follow along. If you do not have a computer with Illustrator we will NOT be able to provide one.
