This class is geared to absolute beginners or those who have some knowledge but need refreshing. We will delve into casting on, knitting and purling. Our first project with be a scarf. Depending on how fast we progress we can opt to make a triangular scarf and try out knitting on circular needles. By the end of this class you should be able to make a variety of scarves, neckties and even a simple poncho by using a simple rectangular shape. Finally, you can accomplish your goal of making all of your holiday gifts by hand !
What to Bring
Number 10 or 11 Knitting Needles. One skein of Lion Brand Heartland Thick and Quick Yarn
Minimum age
All ages welcome
What's Provided
Yarn and needles will be available for sale if students need it.

I've been knitting for over 40 years ! It's my passion and has helped me through so many difficult times in my life. I have knit scarves, sweaters, jackets, ponchos, coats, socks, hats and blankets. I have come up with some pretty straightforward ways to design simple pieces that are elegant and beautiful on all body types. More importantly I am teacher of children and adults and gifted with the skill of teaching so that the learner can understand no matter their learning style.
