Event Overview

Precious Metal Clay (PMC) is a clay form of precious metal that can be shaped, sanded and fired in a kiln to produce beautiful fine silver (.999) jewelry. This material is so versatile and easy to shape, add patterns to, set stones in, and even join with other materials.

In this class, you will be introduced to the fundamentals of PMC and create a fine silver pendant with a bezel set CZ stone. We will fire your piece in class in a kiln, and also learn how to torch fire smaller pieces so that you can continue at home without a kiln. We will also cover the basic finishing of the silver and have some options to experiment with surface patina.

All materials will be supplied in class, but you will receive an optional list in case you want to use any downtime in class to create additional fine silver pieces.
